For all the place we live they change throughout the years. In this project collaborating with the municipality we engaged the Crooswijk community to find out what the sentiment is by the means of a poll. The transition of the old Crooswijk to the one that it will become in the future raises much curiosity but also comes with a healthy dose of sceptisism. This phase is what is my departure point for the mural design. We see a young girl Lina Lou that lives in Crooswijk towering over the new city that depicts the ever changing skyline of our city. What will be our future and what can we do so we won’t forget. The title is inspired by my favorite song by Khruangbin .

A big thanks go to geoffrey, saskia and the municipality team. Rina from SOR and the culturedirectors of Rotterdam for making this project possible. This is the first wall of 3 more to come for whom i will be curating the next steps in selecting artists. Also a big thanks to my friend DJ Benny Royal for being so kind to photograph his little girl Lina Lou.
