Depicted you see a skipper overlooking the adjacent Rijnharbour, a place where in the olden days the maintenance and winter storage of inland waterway shipping took place. Rotterdam has it’s roots deeply founded in naval and inland transportation. This is the starting point for many European supplies.

This is my contribution to the Rotterdam Art Ride project, a great initiative made possible by a lot of hard work of the #ROAR crew. Thank you Hafie Marjon and Inger for the invitation to take part and meet this smasher of a line up of 18 national and international artists.
