I was travelling through Mexico to shoot some reference images for new upcoming paintings. Visiting rustic distilleries where all the hard work is transformed into this delicious and typical Mexican drink Mezcal. The homebase was the casa Ofrenda in Oaxaca where the adventure continued after a long day running around the palenques, witnessing the production methods of mezcal.

There was no other choice than to leave a piece on the wall here of a local tribe zapotec mask adorned with agave leaves in appreciation of the hospitality.
