To have 2 weeks to experiment and play around with my style has been very valuable, telling a similar narrative but changing up the execution. To make a lino print based on protest posters I saw in Mexico has been on my idea list for a long time. The style is very different from what I normally do, black and white hard transitions instead of realistic smooth skintones but still based on my own photography and adding the lines into the face. Something came out that felt so fun to make. With this residency at lac_associacao_cultural there was finally the time to give it a try. I have not done lino printing since I was a 14 year old boy but it brough back many good memories. Beside the black and white print there have also been some collaborative pieces made with the other LAC residents. Thank you LAC crew❤️, fellow artists and buddy Nuno Viegas for the good care, feedback and production help.
