This mural depicts a intercontinental woman stepping out of the frame amidst of Delfts economically challenged area called the Buitenhof. In the past this neighbourhood has gotten bad press but recently those problems have been addressed and slowly but surely things are on the up and up whilst the inhabitants are working hard to make a better future for them selves and their family. With this mural I hope to have added a positive marker that inspires a young generation to grow out of what they are expected to be by society and reach for the skies.

This project has been a mutual effort by the inhabitants of the area, students and the municipality as well as many organisations like Nobis.015, Rewriters010, Cultuurhuisdelft, Canidream, Openartgallerydelft, and sponsoring by Citytec.bv, Fonds1818, Delft municipality thank you for the trust, a good team work makes dreams work!
